This is the plain table. Every length and diameter sold under the Oodles of Noodles name, in inch and in feet, with no sales talk between the numbers.
The standard pool noodle is approx. 48 inch long and 2.5 inch in diameter, hollow core. Four foot of foam, in other words, and the size almost everyone pictures when they say noodle. Packs of two, five, ten, twenty-five and fifty share that single dimension, so the only thing a bigger pack changes is the price per tube and the box it arrives in.
Jumbo foam starts at 3.5 inch across. The common jumbo tube is approx. 55 inch long — a little over four and a half foot — and the MEGA sizes reach 5 inch across at up to six foot. A 34 inch shorty exists for packing, and there are 54 and 55 inch lengths that differ only by where the saw landed.
Doubling the diameter does not double the buoyancy, it roughly quadruples it, because foam volume follows the square of the radius. That is why a 5 inch tube feels so different under an adult.
Solid stock is sold at approx. 55 inch long and 2.75 inch across. The extra quarter inch of diameter over a standard tube is incidental; the missing hole is the point.
Pre-slit clamp noodles run from 19 inch up to 48 inch, in both standard and jumbo diameters, mostly in black. The listing gives a tubing range rather than a bore, because the slit opens a little once the foam is on.
Craft sticks come at 1.5 inch, 2.5 inch, 3.5 inch and 5 inch across in cut lengths. Thin solid-core rod is 5/8 inch and arrives coiled at 20 ft and 40 ft. Spiral Curlz tubes are measured along the helix, not end to end, so they look shorter than the number suggests.
Backer rod covers 1/4 inch through 4 inch diameters in short packs, and the same material comes as rope in coils up to 4000 ft. Pipe covers from the Foam King line are sized to the pipe, not to the foam — 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch copper are the two common ones.
Foam is cut on a line, so every figure carries an approx. in front of it; half an inch either way is normal and does not affect a float. Where a size matters — a clamp over a known bar, rod into a measured joint — check the tubing range on the listing itself rather than working from a category page. Packaging changes faster than foam does.
Two packs at the same price can be half an inch apart in diameter, and that half inch decides whether an adult floats. Reading the number is the fastest quality check there is on any foam tube, and it beats guessing from a photograph every time.
The premium Oodles of Noodles pool noodles publish both figures — length and diameter — on every listing. White and black stock sometimes run to different lengths in the same family, which is the one place people get caught out, so the approx. figure on the card you are buying is the one to trust. Write down the size of your favorite tube before it wears out and the replacement takes a minute.
Take the number you need, check it against the listing, then order. A standard 48 inch tube is the right answer surprisingly often, and the experience of ordering twice because of an incredible size claim on a category page, and the right number is the fast way past that is one nobody enjoys. Questions about a single family belong on that family's own page, where the crafts dimensions are listed alongside the pool ones.
Each one with the figure its listing is showing right now.
Four foot, give or take. The usual figure quoted is approx. 48 inch long by 2.5 inch in diameter.
The MEGA sizes: 5 inch across and up to six foot long. They need a bigger car than you expect.
Foam is cut on a line, so half an inch either way is normal. It makes no practical difference to a float, but it matters for a clamp over a known bar.
